What is TumyRaft Suspension?
TumyRaft is a dual-action antacid and reflux suppressant oral suspension. It contains Sodium Alginate, Sodium Bicarbonate and Calcium Carbonate. It is used for the fast relief of acidity, heartburn, indigestion and gastro-oesophageal reflux.
It works in two ways - it neutralizes excess stomach acid and forms a protective raft barrier on top of the stomach contents to prevent acid from moving up into the food pipe.
Composition (Per 5ml - As per standard formulation)
• Sodium Alginate - 250 mg
• Sodium Bicarbonate - 133.5 mg
• Calcium Carbonate - 80 mg

• Acidity and Heartburn (Acid reflux)
• Indigestion and Gastritis
• GERD - Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease

• Protection of food pipe from acid regurgitation
How It Works
1. Alginate Raft: Sodium Alginate forms a strong, gel-like raft that floats on top of the stomach contents, acting as a physical barrier to stop acid and food from refluxing back.
2. Antacid Action: Sodium Bicarbonate and Calcium Carbonate quickly neutralize excess stomach acid, giving fast relief from burning and pain.
How to Use - Directions for Patient
• Shake well before use.
• Take as directed by your physician / pharmacist.
• Usual adult dose is 10-20 ml after meals and at bedtime, or as prescribed.
• Use the measuring cap provided.
• Do not take with water immediately, allow the suspension to form the raft.
• Do not exceed the recommended dose.
• Keep a gap of at least 2 hours between TumyRaft and other medicines.
For correct dosage and duration, please consult your doctor.
Side Effects
Generally well tolerated when taken as directed. Some people may experience:
• Feeling of bloating or mild nausea
• Constipation or belching
• Stomach cramps
If you experience allergic reaction, severe abdominal pain, or any unusual symptom, stop and consult your doctor immediately.
Precautions & Warnings
• Inform your doctor if you have kidney disease, heart disease, high blood pressure, or are on a low-salt diet (contains sodium).
• Inform your doctor if you have low phosphate levels.
• Use in pregnancy and breastfeeding only if advised by your doctor.
• Not recommended for children below 12 years unless prescribed.
